Heritage & Significance
Private Collection was Estée Lauder’s personal fragrance, blended for her own use and worn privately for years before she was persuaded to release it commercially in 1973. The name is literal. It remains the most personal composition the house ever produced, a green floral chypre of a kind rarely attempted today, and vintage examples carry the original formula before reformulation altered its character.

Fragrance Composition
A green floral chypre: bright aldehydes and green notes over a heart of jasmine, rose and hyacinth, settling into oakmoss, sandalwood and amber. Sharp, dry and unmistakably of its era.

Condition Details
Unused Pure Fragrance Spray in its original box. The bottle and packaging present well with only light shelf wear consistent with storage. Contents as presented in the photographs; please review all images, which form part of the description.

Collector’s Notes
This is the pre-reformulation Private Collection, containing materials at concentrations no longer permitted under IFRA restrictions. Vintage examples in the Pure Fragrance Spray format have become genuinely difficult to find, particularly still boxed.
