Fold-out address card for a curiously named store called "Fabulous Fakes" from the 1950's. Original and authentic. Hand written inside the card is the address, presumably from the store 239 Third Ave. N.Y. 10003, Phone YU2-5986. Hours: 11-7pm (Sat - 6).
The front of the embossed card includes an illustration of a fellow holding a banner "Fabulous Fakes".
Also on the front are lines from the poem Ars Victrix:
"All passes. Art aloneEnduring straps to us:The Bust outcasts the throne,The Coin Tiberius."
- Austin Dobson
No other information exists that I could find about this unusual store. Interesting piece.
