A fabulous figurine for the collector of draft horses. Made in Italy by Guido Cacciapuoti, this pair of draft horses in harness are intricately depicted in porcelain, fully signed and with the original company paper label still affixed under the base. The horses, perhaps even ponies, are sturdy and shaggy, wearing heavy harness, with one resting its head on the neck of his companion. A touching pose, and one that horse fanciers will recognize. This large figurine measures 10 1/2" tall by 14" long by 7 1/4" deep.No chips, cracks, repairs or restorations as determined by black light and lighted magnification exams. There are a few tiny rubs and factory color skips, consistent with age and production, please see photos.
