This is my 5pc Eye Punch SetThese eye punches are made from new 5/8-inch round 5160 spring steel. They are about 9-inches long each.The set includes all the shapes you see in the pictures. (Note: the square and diamond are different shapes. The diamond is an offset square with abtuse and acute angles whereas the square is actually 90-degrees on each corner.)

These punches do not get hardened or tempered. They are intended for stamping in hot steel. (Dark cherry red or above)I use these same punches for making production bottle openers and key fobs. Heat treating is not necessary.
These punches are the ideal size for making animal heads in 1/4x3/4-inch flat bar up to about 1-inch square. You can use them in smaller and larger stock, and you may prefer different proportions than I do. That\'s the size stock I use these punches in though, personally.
