This is a REPRINT in FULL SIZE of the very first, and ridiculously hard to come across 1st edition of the monorail poster, while the rocket in the background still had the TWA logo. It also just says "TOMORROWLAND" at the bottom. This is a gorgeous print that is VERY clean, and is very close in quality to a screen print.
Poster is in excellent condition. No notable flaws. Just be careful handling it, as it is VERY large.
The story behind this poster... there's a collector in Los Angeles that has a very large collection of the original silk screen Disneyland posters from the 50s and 60s, each worth anywhere from $3,000-$15,000. He had these commissioned so that he could display them safely, and still feel like he was displaying one of his original prize pieces. This collector was absolutely a perfectionist and wanted these to be nearly indistinguishable from the originals. What he did with his original silk screens, I do not know. If I had to guess, he either sold the originals and kept these as good enough replacements, or maybe he locked the originals away in a vault for safe keeping. But this art was color matched to original, and every little detail analyzed and scrutinized.
