Conceived by Paraclete & manufactured by FirstSpear, the Maritime Security Flotation Armor System (MSFAS) is designed to integrate body armor with low-profile buoyancy compensation. It incorporates two systems: Orally-inflated buoyancy compensators and emergency 'CTAF' balloons. The orally-inflated compensators sit behind the plate pockets and generate a surface buoyancy of up to 10lbs together, and are more for adjusting one's body position when swimming or diving. Additionally, the cummerbund contains a large balloon on each side which can be quickly deployed by a CO2 cartridge. Both CTAF pieces will come pre-loaded! Another defining feature of the MSFAS is its use of Trelleborg material instead of nylon; Trelleborg is a highly hydrophobic, sharkskin-like material. Combined with laser-cut molle, the end result is a lightweight carrier that doesn't retain water. Also featured are FirstSpear quick-detach tubes, allowing for extremely rapid donning & doffing. This carrier is highly similar to the AEGIR-38 Swimmer cut, with only a few minor differences, such as an extra row of molle on the cummerbund and of course the Paraclete label. This carrier is designed for swimmer-cut plates, but being a size large I believe they will fit standard 10x12" plates. Currently issued to US Navy SEALS, these carriers are perfect for you and your best friend to go conduct underwater sabotage, amphibious assaults, boarding actions, and any other NSW-adjacent activities you can imagine.
