Fostoria American Clear Glass 8\" Salad Plates Set of 12 Vintage 2056 P-08 For Sale

Acquire a rare and complete 12-person dining service of early American elegant glassware with this vintage set of 12 Fostoria Glass Company American pattern 8-inch salad plates (Line No. 2056 / Item P-08). Produced in Moundsville, West Virginia during an exclusive six-year window from 1928 to 1934, this historic plate was the very first small-centered salad plate introduced into the American line before being phased out and replaced by smaller 7-inch and larger 8 1/2-inch variations.

Measuring exactly 8 inches in diameter from point to point across the center, each plate features a wide border of Fostoria\'s three-dimensional geometric cube facets tapering inward to a distinctive small-centered rayed starburst medallion. Characteristic of authentic early-era Fostoria pieces, the underside base rings feature factory-ground flat bottoms for seamless stability on the dining table.

This vintage Fostoria elegant glass salad plate set features:

• Iconic 3D Cube Pattern: Fostoria\'s signature geometric block motif that catches and reflects light brilliantly across every facet.

• Historic Small-Centered Design: Features the early P-08 proportion with a wide cubist border and compact starburst center medallion.

• Serrated Sawtooth Edge: Crisp, rhythmic geometric points framing the entire outer rim.

• Early Ground Base Bottoms: Authentic early production trait featuring flat-ground bases for table stability.

• Complete Service for 12: Hard-to-find full dozen set, ideal for formal dinner parties, salad courses, dessert service, or luncheon entertaining.

In excellent pre-owned vintage condition with no chips or cracks across all 12 plates, this assembled service is an exceptional acquisition for advanced Fostoria collectors or vintage tablescapes.
