Mimbres or Mogollon sandals and fragments.
From a 4th generation SW Deming, New Mexico family estate; the sandal was among Mimbres pottery shards and perishable woven material. The family did not have much information about this piece unfortunately.
There are 5 Riker cases. Two are good, full sandals. Two are sandal partials. One case is of cordage that primarily came off of the sandals while mounting.
I do not recommend taking the sandal out of the Riker box. I would say it was in a cave, then on a shelf, for a long, long time and can’t really take much more naked handling. It’s very old and they all display beautifully. If you have any more questions, please ask. Thank you for looking.
