Up for sale is a rare, complete matching set of four (4) vintage Chinoiserie framed art prints from the 1970s–1980s. These beautiful pieces feature elegant Chinese court ladies in traditional garden settings, rendered in the meticulous Gongbi (fine-brush) style.
The calligraphy inscriptions explicitly state that these pieces are created in the artistic brushwork style of Tang Liuru (Tang Bohu), the legendary Ming Dynasty master painter. Each piece is signed by the mid-century artist Lady Suzhen (素珍女史作) and bears her red artist signature seal.
These prints are housed in their gorgeous, original Hollywood Regency style gold-gilt faux-bamboo wooden frames with authentic glass fronts.
