🌸This large Franciscan Desert Rose Serving Platter, measuring approximately 10 by 14 inches, is part of a large set of Franciscan Earthenware I have made available in separate listings. This well cared for collection has been owned by one family since its original purchase.
🌸The back stamp on this piece places its production in the 1940s. This beautiful serving piece is in mostly excellent preowned condition as seen in the photos provided in this listing. Check photos for the 2 tiny chips on the back edges. These are not visible on the front.
🌸The exquisite hand-painted surfaces of Desert Rose pieces make each piece a unique one-of-a-kind / OOAK art piece. With its smooth glossy and clean surfaces featuring embossed and beautifully hand-painted wild roses using Franciscan Ware’s iconic nature inspired colors, this piece pleases the senses of sight and touch, mimicking wild Desert Roses with its “sculpted” soft pink petals, carefree leaves and twisted wild rose stems and branches; minus any prickly thorns!
🌸This botanical treasure has been carefully checked over and appears to me to be free of serious issues, but please make note of the back stamp lacking crispness and the 2 little chips previously mentioned. These chips are pointed out in the photo section.
🌸The cream colored background appears mostly even-colored in person despite shadowing and light reflection in my photographs, which is a result of my amateur photographic skills… my apologies.
