Description: This rppc shows five men and one boy harvesting ice on a wintry day, aided by a sleigh or wagon on runners, and two horses. The sleigh is empty but a large area of ice has been cleared of snow, and ice cutting is in progress.
I\'ve included a few close-ups of segments of this postcard.
CLOSE-UPS:
- One shows ice blocks at the right. One man holds onto a block with tongs and another man holds a saw.
- In the close-up of the boy and father, you can (barely) see more ice blocks, stacked and covered by something.
- In the one with two men behind the horse, you get a good look at a vicious-looking saw.
- The close-up of the sleigh shows that it\'s ornately painted and there\'s a name on the side of it (I can\'t read it).
