Fratelli Alinari Bookends \" Procession Of The Magi\" From The Midici Chapel. For Sale

Beautiful, vintage set from c.1960\'s of folding gold leaf and brass bookends of depicted Renaissance paintings. From the Midici Chapel these are reproduction of the \"Progression of the Magi.: Painted by Benozzo Gozzoli. They are marked with a gold foil sticker on the back which reads: Fratelli Alinari Lungarno Corsini , 24R. Firenze Italy. That is the manufacturers. They are made of wood with a brass hinged base, wood covered with gold leaf. Measuring 7 1/8 inches tall and 5 inches wide. Hinged folding brass bases measure 4 x 5 1/4 each. The bookends are in very nice vintage condition a little wear. They have been given good care.The unique hinged design enables these to be stored flat when not in use.
