The No. 6 marking is partially obscured by wear/old surface repair, but appears to be the model/size designation. I was unable to locate surviving manufacturer documentation to independently confirm the exact catalog designation.
Heavy steel machinist/toolroom V-block featuring multiple V-groove surfaces for supporting round or cylindrical workpieces during measuring, inspection, layout and other shop applications.
This block appears to be essentially the same overall size and configuration as a Brown & Sharpe No. 749 V-block. It is not being represented as a Brown & Sharpe product; this comparison is provided only as a useful size/configuration reference.
Condition: Vintage pre-owned shop condition with considerable signs of age and use, including scratches, dings, pitting, discoloration and surface oxidation/rust. Tolerances have not been verified.
