Offered here is an original, antique engraved print of General Philip Sheridan. The steel engraving was made from a portrait by Thomas
Nash. The engraving measures 7 ¾” x 10 ¼” overall, with a 5 ½” x 7 ¼” image of Sheridan in his full military uniform, imprinted “From
the original painting by Nast in the possession of the publishers,” and dated “A.D. 1865” in print below.
The condition is excellent, with light, even toning. Some wear and light foxing to the margins which will be covered by proper matting.
The wear is commensurate with age. The print is ready for framing. It is a wonderful gift for Civil War buffs as well as history and art
lovers, or add it to your own collection. This is a superb, heirloom quality piece of art that will become a treasured part of your collection.
