The product is a rare JNA YPA Yugoslav Peoples Army Horse Gas Mask Set, originating from Yugoslavia. It is a very rare and great piece of militaria that is highly sought after by collectors. The set likely includes a gas mask designed for use on horses, reflecting its military theme 2 standard sealed filter and 2 more we have added which were used before.
In the army horses had a very important role, so many countries developed horse gas masks.
Yugoslavia was no different. The JNA (Jugoslavenska narodna armija - Yugoslav People\'s Army) used a 60mm horse gas mask.
About the mask the mask has 2 intake valves and 1 exhale valve.
It is produced from very similar materials as the M-1 (M-59).
It also features a gas hood made from the same material as the poncho from the M-1 /M-1C/MC-1 kits.
The mask was stored in a large sturdy carrier containing strings around the opening, the buttons on it are similar as the one found on the M-1 carrier.
