Fascinating Fun Facts:
• Goebel was founded in 1871 in Rödental, Bavaria, initially producing slate pencils and marbles before expanding into porcelain
• Goebel is best known for licensing Sister Maria Innocentia Hummel's artwork into the famous M.I. Hummel figurine line starting in 1935 - but Goebel also produced many non-Hummel porcelain lines under its own name, including nativity sets like this one
• Three-King nativity figures traditionally represent Europe, Asia, and Africa, reflected here in the varied robes, crowns, and gifts each figure carries
