Gorgeous Lg. VINTAGE Linen Tablecloth HAND EMBROIDERED Wheat Floral UNUSED 78x63 For Sale

This is a stunning large vintage linen tablecloth, completely hand embroidered and hand sewn, with a floral and wheat pattern. Obviously made by a very skilled needle crafter. Measuring 78x63 inches, this rectangular tablecloth is perfect for all occasions and showcases elegant light taupe colored embroidery on beige linen. There are 20 identical panels, each measuring about 16\" x 16\". They are hand sewn together, with the seam allowances pressed open and the margins turned under and stitched for a flawless seam. The hem is similarly crafted, turned under and stitched with the tiniest of nearly invisible stitches. I cannot imagine the time and work it took to create this beautifully made heirloom tablecloth. Even the back side is neatly stitched (photos 7 and 8.) Never used, never laundered, crisp linen, created and stored away. No odors. The linen panels were stamped with the design in blue. The blue color is faintly visible at times under the stitching and a few light areas outside the stitching (overspray, i.e. last photo). The blue color is designed to wash out with laundering (it\'s one reason why I know it was never used.) It does not, in my humble opinion, detract from this tablecloth if you wanted to use it straight away, before laundering.
