This is a substantial, sculptural piece: a cascade of sharp, translucent green octahedral fluorite crystals overgrown with contrasting white botryoidal quartz/chalcedony, all seated on a flowing white skarn matrix. The green is that cool, oceanic Xianghualing color that shifts from mint to deep emerald as the light moves through it — the backlit photos are unedited and show exactly what sunlight does to this piece. Multiple generations of growth give it depth everywhere you look: gemmy octahedra beneath, frosted white "snow" clusters above.
