Up for sale today is this Hawaii guide sign, giving distances of 3 miles (5 km) to Waimea, 9 miles (14 km) to Hanapepe, and 26 miles (42 km) to Lihue. Made to the exact state standards as used by Hawaii on its highways.
An original of these is very rare to find scrapped. Only one sign with a given set of destinations and mileages will generally exist at any given time, with the old sign destroyed as soon as a new one is placed into active service. Also, by its very nature, the sign tells authorities exactly where it should be...which probably doesn't line up with the distances from wherever you might want to show it off. So here is your chance to own an excellent display piece, without chancing legal trouble.
The sign is flat printed on steel, with completely accurate layout and fonts. It weighs about 7 lb. 12 oz., and is 22 by 13 inches. If you would like a different size, please do not hesitate to inquire.
