From a distance, this specimen looks like a rugged, rust-colored landscape. Up close, it becomes a field of hundreds of individual hemimorphite crystal sprays.
Bladed crystals rise in tight radial fans and layered starbursts across nearly the entire 9.5-inch face. Their warm brown surfaces catch the light with a subtle glassy shine, while pockets of golden yellow and deep red break through the iron-rich matrix. The contrast gives this piece extraordinary depth: every ridge, opening, and cluster reveals another formation.
The reverse is just as compelling, with rich red iron-bearing pockets that show the rugged foundation beneath the crystals. Measuring 9.5" × 7" and weighing 1,658g, this is a substantial collector display with an unusually dramatic presence.
