This vintage Herend porcelain trinket box features the discontinued Chinese Bouquet Green (AV) design. The petite octagonal box is hand painted with delicate green leaves, gold flowers, and gold-trimmed edges. A dimensional spotted bunny sits on top.
Herend has been making fine porcelain in Hungary since 1826. The company became famous for its detailed hand painting, colorful patterns, and whimsical animal figures. Herend porcelain has also graced royal tables and prominent homes around the world. Each piece is decorated by hand with the signature fishnet pattern. Small variations in the brushwork are part of what makes Herend special.
The discontinued design, tiny octagonal shape, and whimsical bunny finial make this a unique little Herend piece that stands out on display.
The underside is marked Herend Hungary Handpainted and 6020/AV.
At only about 2” wide, this mini box is just right for a ring or other tiny treasure. Display it on a dresser, vanity, bookshelf, or in a china cabinet.
