Authentic vintage Hopi Second Mesa polychrome coiled lidded storage basket (approximately 10.5”diameter 5” high). Features a striking stepped diamond geometric pattern woven with naturally dyed purple and cream yucca splints over a thick rabbit/galleta grass foundation core. Found locally in the Tucson, Arizona regional collecting hub. Unsigned/unmarked true to traditional vintage indigenous pottery and basketry. Overall condition is good, structurally sound vintage condition as is with great display appeal. Lid fits well. Minor natural splitting.
