This is a 1972 Arno Press hardback reprint of the famous, important, and historically significant 1924 book by Harry Houdini: A Magician Among the Spirits.
This particular copy is in good condition except for a musty smell from age; foxing (age browning) on the inside covers, leaves, and book edges; a 1/2" stain on the top edge; the previous owner’s address stickers on the inside-front cover and front leaf; and some dog-ears on about 16 pages.
Otherwise, the spine is tight, the pages are clean, and the pages have remarkably mild yellowing for a 54-year-old book.
The dust jacket, on the other hand, is in terrible condition, with large dark brown spots, overall browning, rubbing, chipping, tearing, denting, and a musty odor.
Because of this book’s imperfections, I’m listing it at a price lower than I can find anywhere online.
