It features 150 talented artists across the Japanese illustration scene which is attracting attention from the world from a wide variety of pop culture to the ever-changing internet culture. All of the artists featured have been replaced from the previous ILLUSTRATION 2024 allowing you to experience the cutting edge of contemporary illustration. The cover of the 2025 edition is by Nanako Hachidate an illustrator/artist who has attracted a lot of attention both in Japan and overseas for her work on the concepts of "nostalgia that everyone has" and "a world seen in dreams." The book design is by Tomoyuki Arima an up-and-coming designer trusted by many artists. At the end of the book there is a message that reads "Zutto Mayonaka de Iinoni." In addition to an interview with Komugiko2000 an animation artist who has worked on music videos for the anime series and a dialogue about the background of the new ILLUSTRATION series slogan and emblem this issue also includes a special dialogue between Nanako Hachidate and Tomoyuki Arima who talk about the production process of the cover design of this book. Nanako Hachidate Born in 1998. A painter/illustrator living in Tokyo. Graduated from Joshibi University of Art and Design majoring in Western painting. She mainly draws motifs such as animals plants and women using acrylic gouache. In 2021 she published her first commercial art book "Wonderland."
