Offering you my Very Lightly Smoked, and Perfectly fitted White Spot stem on a Brilliant IRWIN’s stummel - the London England holds true to Irwins briar and, Presumably, the Dunhill Stem - This is a smooth smoking, bold and Large Billiard (135). I don’t know how this pipe came to have a Dunhill white spot, but when i came across it some time ago, if found the stem fitting perfectly to the stummel, nice and snug and amazingly smooth airflow- and it LOOKS SUPERB, as well. This is one of my English pipe conundrums - The rim (both top and inside flank) are free of darkening or carbon and show how seldom & carefully this pipe has been smoked - As with my other Irwin’s, this stummel has a high contrast finish, bringing forward the beautiful grain in this hunk of briar. I’ve reamed the chamber (although there wasn’t much to ream), and cleaned the airways in the shank and stem with 99% alcohol (and found the last time I cleaned this pipe, it hadn’t been used again, in some time).
