ICONIC STYLE!
MINIMALIST ITALIAN
ILLUMINATED WALL SCONCE!
MONUMENTAL MID CENTURY DECOR!
HUGE
DIMENSIONS : 57\" x 57\"
In the Manner of Gino Sarfatti for Arteluce.
Gino Sarfatti made a huge impact in postwar lighting and the Italians
came up with the most creative and dramatic sconces of the period.
Not content to simply provide light, these Italian craftsmen had
the sensibilities of a Hollywood set designer and created works of art
that capture the eye and the imagination!
This SPECTACULAR Italian wall sconce is the Holy Grail of
wall sconces for interior designers because they know it\'s more than a
lighting - it\'s modern art. It creates the same visual impact as a Picasso
or a Moore sculpture - and from a greater distance!
Red, Yellow and black enamel create a purist mid century palette
that provides pure eye candy.
At this point the designers were designing for the elite design
conscious who could afford custom and low production designer lighting.
This monumental illuminated wall art fixture is designed to be hard wired
into the wall and controlled by a wall switch.
This type of fixture is not a common sight in even the most
upscale residences - pieces like this simply don\'t appear in the marketplace!
In very fine condition!
Minor flaws to the enamel & small dings to the shades.
Displays beautifully!
A truly incredible sconce
for equally incredible living spaces!
Perfect for your NY Penthouse, Palm Springs Atomic Ranch
or Eichler Modern Home!
