Incredible Rare Trenton Limestone Pennsylvania Ceraurus Fossil Trilobite For Sale

Here’s something you won’t see often, if ever: a nearly complete ventral Ceraurus trilobite fossil from the Ordovician Trenton limestone series of Pennsylvania! Apart from the right side of the cephalon, this bug is basically all there and even shows the hypostome quite well! Also present on this block are some bits of the trilobite, cryptolithus as well as other neat invertebrates! This specimen was discovered with only the edge of the pygidium showing and once preparation began, the rest of the body emerged to sheer disbelief as these trilobites are exceedingly rare and basically unheard of in terms of being found complete in Pennsylvania, let alone with shell preservation!! This is one that any serious trilobite collector should not miss out on as the odds of seeing another specimen like this from Pennsylvania on the market are slim to none!

Trilobite measures roughly 2 x 2 inches on a block of matrix approximately 6.5 x 7 x 2 inches.
