Interstate 75 route marker.
Up for sale today is this Interstate 75 route sign. Made to the exact 1961 standard from the origins of the Eisenhower interstate highway system. In that year's Manual on Uniform Traffic Control Devices, there was a provision for a route marker with no state name and larger numerals, intended to be used on overhead green guide signs. This design was adopted by many states for more widespread usage, as it was thought the larger numbers increased legibility. It was supplanted by the modern shield style in 1971, and it gets harder and harder to find the original-style interstate route markers in many states.
This sign is flat printed on heavy gauge steel, with completely accurate layout and fonts. It weighs about 6 lb. 10 oz., and is 18 by 18 inches. It is a non-reflective sign—perfect for ordinary display, indoors or outdoors. (If you would like a different size version, please ask as I can certainly make one!)
This is a high quality, heavy steel replica sign. Accept no imitations that may be one-third this price, but are one-tenth the quality. No cheap tin to be found here, with the wrong fonts, layouts, size, shape, or any other manner of embarrassing imperfection. This one will make even the most discerning collector stick their nose into the sign, as it looks that good from that close!
Please do see my other sales for quality US and state route markers!
Would you like a number not seen here? Or perhaps a different style? I can of course make these signs with any route number of your choice, and not just this style, but older and newer ones, and even the classic mileage, direction, and city limit guide signs from the era. Anything you would like, made with unsurpassed quality right here in the good old US of A.

Figure about 8 lb. 10 oz. for shipping, packed carefully and mailed from zip code 61833. Our signs are only printed when you buy them. Allow about 10 business days for manufacturing, in addition to the usual delivery time.
The watermark and bear logo in the design preview will not appear on the actual sign. We have begun adding a watermark because we have had problems with other companies copying our artwork to make lesser-quality imitations. You will only get this high level of quality in design and materials from Signs by Jake.
