Up for sale is an authentic, hand-carved Alaska Native Inupiaq Walrus Spirit Finger Mask measuring 2.5 inches in diameter (approximately 4.5 to 5 inches total including the feather ruff). The face is beautifully sculpted from multi-colored Alaskan serpentine soapstone with striking green, yellow, and black veins, accented by a hand-carved hardwood walrus head with faux-ivory tusks over the left eye to represent shamanic dual vision. The stone face and wooden elements are in excellent condition with no chips or cracks; however, please note there is a prominent gap of missing feathers on the left side (detailed in photos 4 and 5), making this a perfect candidates for a simple restoration or an entry-level addition to an Arctic indigenous art collection.
