Abandoned by the thousands on the battlefield this Iraqi M80 helmet was almost certainly a souvenir bring-back for one US soldier. Constructed of compressed fabric/fiberglass in South Korea and later Jordan, they offered no ballistic protection whatsoever. This example retains its triangular Jihm property stamp in the center of the webbed suspension. Originally dark green in color and often painted over in tan, this one appears to have gone back to dark green again. All hardware, buckles, bails, and fasteners are present and functioning.
