This is a really high quality example of a James Monroe’s signature. James Monroe had two signatures in his life one was his full name and one was an abbreviated style. Hard to find really good cut examples of his full name. This one is very legible and clear.
The reason I bought this is because James Monroe was the youngest founding father and was a former president. Later in his life he also came out against slavery. He’s definitely one to own if you’re looking to collect old presidential signatures. I’m selling because I got to enjoy it for about 5 years. Now someone else can enjoy it.
