James Valentine 1818-1879 128 albumen photographs the lot $1300. Valentine and Geore Washington WIlson were the 2 major Scottish photographers,. All have rich sepia tones, most are 5 1/4 x 8 inches, a few are 11 1/2 x 7 1/2, all signed in the plate and labled, these have not been exposed to much light in at least 40 years and were in albums for mostly the previous 100 years so they are a fine collection. a few of the earliest photos (1860 or so) have very minor fading around the edges. shipped insured ground or priority --your choice. over time I will add a few more photos. these are in protectors so if they seem fuzzy or glaring they are nice sharp photos.the University of St Andrews, Scotland has the 41 numerical view registers --every view published nearly 1000000, but unfortunately only about 120000 images have survived after a weeding in 1931 by the company.
