The image shows a large military helicopter at the landing zone with numerous body bags staged nearby for removal. The scene is consistent with documented photographs of the U.S. military recovery operation at Jonestown, during which HH-53 helicopters transported victims from the settlement.
Of particular interest, the slide mount bears a green institutional stamp with “WASHINGTON DC 20305.” Research indicates this address was associated with the Armed Forces Institute of Pathology (AFIP), which participated in the identification and forensic work following Jonestown.
The plastic slide mount is marked PAKON.
