A lightly tumbled, Sharp looking very early, hand blown medicine from Louisville, KY. The color is a medium Teal. The base appears to be a sand pontil. Very rough texture with uneven circular mark. Does have mold marks at far outer edge of base and running up the sides. This is Not an Iron Pontil but likely 1850 - 1860's. No chips or cracks. Has an 1/8" internal potstone at the top of the letter "S" in Louisville. Bottle has some whittling. Crude shaped, applied taper top with drippy lip. You will see many later hinge mold versions with a base embossing from the glasshouse but you don't see many of the earlier sand pontils in this good of condition.
