LYNN HANEY Santa Beachcomber The Shell Collector 1991 Coastal Seaside Signed.Professionally restored and reimagined. As with all my restorations, I use everything original that santa had when I acquired him. I also embellish and replace anything he was missing.
* Note, I have other Beachcombers listed, each are unique, see my other Haneys Santas on my page! *This Santa wears an ivory linen gown trimmed with satin and velvet ivory ribbons, pearls, and fancy jute twine. Gown has hand cut edging with cutouts and fraying. At his waist is cotton braided belt. A sweeping cotton ivory cloth drapes on head with dried starfish on left side of head. A layer of frayed ivory fancy burlap drapes around shoulders. He wears tan boots with ivory fancy burlap wrap, with ivory satin and twine kraft ribbons. In his beard rests dried seahorse. In his right arm is an ivory bristle tree with pearls topped with rose gold glitter pearl center flower. In his arms he holds ivory handwrapped gifts and many seashells including conch shell, snail shell with twigs. Seashells and crystal bead garlands drap from arms. Dangling from right arm is rubber gold seahorse with hand beading. Dangling from left arm are two burlap lined baskets, filled with starfish, sand dollar, mini pearl bristle tree and many tiny shells. Draped from arms is cotton twine netting with large starfish, turquoise snail shell and pink clamshell. At his feet a handwrapped gift on burlap with sand dollar, sea shells and pearl. Lots of details, truly unique piece for beach lovers.18" tall from top of hat to the base and is approx. 12"w x 7"d. Base is 7" x 7". He has his original beard with mustache added.
