Distinctive Model 4084 pendant lamp manufactured by Lyskaer, Denmark, circa 1980s.
A particularly interesting piece of Danish vintage lighting with an unusual cylindrical shade incorporating pressed geometric sections and ventilation openings.
The cylindrical shade has four square pressed sections, forming two bands of four ventilation slots. The lower section has a domed shade, while the top of the cylinder features eight prefabricated ventilation holes.
These openings and pressed sections produce a lovely light effect when illuminated, giving the lamp a subtle geometric pattern and making it particularly attractive when switched on.
The shade is lacquered white and is completed by a top metal disc, Bakelite bulb socket and long plastic cord.
