The M-Tas brand has developed and released a new concept of a personal protection system for a fighter - BALLISTIC BACK OF THE NECK PROTECTION WITH MOUNTING ON A HELMET, 1ST CLASS OF PROTECTION. The product is a compact removable module that provides protection for the back of the neck (back of the neck).

On the upper part of the product there are two slings with fastex to which Velcro fasteners are attached. The lower Velcro fastener is equipped with double-sided acrylic tape, with which it is attached to the helmet. This type of acrylic tape provides maximum fixation, due to the lack of reactions to various types of solvents, as well as its resistance to ultraviolet and high temperatures. The second (upper) part of the Velcro fastener is attached to the lower part previously placed on the helmet. Also, M-TAC BALLISTIC HEAD PROTECTION WITH HELMET MOUNTING CLASS 1 PROTECTION can be attached to the cover (if there is a Velcro panel on its back).

The module is made of Cordura 500 - a durable material that is resistant to abrasion and high loads. Also, this item of equipment is equipped with a ballistic package designed to protect against ricochets and fragments. It is made of ultra-high molecular weight polyethylene (UHMWPE) and complies with STANAG 2920 with a V-50 anti-fragmentation resistance index of about 614.5 m/s.

To understand the analogy with bulletproof resistance, an armor package with a similar composition corresponds to the 1st class (9x18APS, 9x19 Luger) according to DSTU 8782:2018. (Class 1 refers to the equivalent in composition, which is tested on standard samples of 400x400mm. Therefore, on samples of smaller size and shape, the injury may differ.)
