We are pleased to offer for your buying consideration a MAGNIFICENT All Original Tiny 12” Antique Wax Queen Victoria Doll!Most likely of ENGLISH ORIGIN, this rare and hard to come by DIMINUTIVE DOLL is circa 1860 and in FACTORY ORIGINAL condition, appealing to both antique doll and Queen Victoria enthusiasts alike!The doll is dressed in the most spectacular full length cream colored gown with long train, made of sheer lace trimmed gauze material with lace covered bodice and pink silk ribbon sash and bow embellishments. The back of the dress features a gorgeous ivory SILK BUSTLE with decorative metallic thread embellishments. The material of her gown has darkened with age over the years, and there are places in the netting that have torn over time, but otherwise it makes a wonderful original presentation!Underneath her gown she wears LAYERS of her original antique undergarments including a netted gauze underskirt, two cream colored muslin half slips, and lace trimmed cotton pantaloons. On the underside of her dress hem is an original sewn-on fabric tag with the number “604” handwritten on it; we are not sure of the significance of the numbers, only that it attributes to the originality of her outfit. To complete her ensemble, her lovely and original ANTIQUE CORONET made of metallic black and gold roping intertwined with pink silk ribbon is her crowning glory!The doll herself has an ETHEREAL APPEAL, with large bulbous blue inset glass eyes with unusual MOLDED LIDS, daintily molded nose and ears, and elegantly painted coral lips with slightly upturned mouth with just the hint of a smile! She has her original dark blonde hair which although has thinned over the years appears to be made of human hair.Her head with molded breast plate and lower arms and legs are made of wax, with beautifully modeled fingers and toes, all of which appear intact and in excellent original condition. Her body is made of stuffed fabric, and although we are unable to remove her original clothes it also appears to be in its original state. For scale purposes we are showing this lovely lady displayed with an all original antique wax mechanical baby which can be purchased in a separate offering.
