This small, multicolor hand painted cast resin ornament features intricate French embroidery on a glittered shoe-shaped decoration.
It is modeled after an original pair of 1870 French shoes at the museum’s costume institute.
Designed as part of the annual MMA Shoe Ornaments collection.
Comes with the original box and the original pamphlet as shown in the photographs. The box is in vintage condition. The shoe is in excellent condition probably never used as it is still attached to the gold paper.
