This is a classic mid-century industrial design piece featuring large cast aluminum propeller blades, a torpedo-style motor housing with vent slots, a heavy cast aluminum base with on/off rocker switch, and a distinctive rounded wire safety cage.Seller notes that the fan ran all summer in their office, but it is being sold as-is and has not been independently tested. There are two known issues buyers should be aware of before purchasing:1. BASE PIVOT ISSUE: The tilt mechanism at the base is damaged or loose and cannot hold the fan head in a locked position. The fan head will not stay at a set angle.2.
