View B uses printed percale with a contrasting border and pocket, and View C is embroidered with cherries from the included transfer.
A Moment in Fashion History
In the early 1940s the hostess apron had become a fashion piece worn over a good dress to serve guests, while the plain apron, collar, cuffs, and cap remained the uniform of household help. This pattern offers both, and as wartime jobs drew women away from domestic service, more hostesses did the serving themselves.
