Vintage Soviet-era Belarusian folk art doll from the USSR, measuring approximately 11 inches tall.This charming handcrafted doll is made from natural straw/plant fiber and features a painted wooden face, long braided hair, floral fabric bonnet and apron, and blue and cream ric-rac trim.Especially nice is that the doll retains its original Soviet paper labels. The red manufacturer’s label identifies it as being produced by the Minsk Production Association of Artistic Products in Molodechno, Byelorussian SSR (present-day Belarus). The original product/price tag identifies the doll as Article No. 1176 and shows an original retail price of 4 rubles 60 kopeks.A wonderful example of vintage Eastern European/Belarusian folk craftsmanship and an unusual piece of Soviet-era decorative art.Details:* Approximately 11” tall
