Mixture 7 Pretty Ladies Greetings Antique Postcards. UND Backs. Comic/Humor
This is a nice selection of PRETTY LADIES GREETINGS postcards that show the LADIES in different scenes. These are ANTIQUE postcards from the early 1900s. This mixture has the ladies in COMIC and HUMOR situations. These are UNIQUE postcards because they are from the 1904-1906 era! One of the postcards shows two ladies riding a donkey by the water. Some of these postcards have a "play on words". The postcards have good detail and they are a pleasure to look at. The postcards give you a feel for life and fashion during the early 1900s.
The postcards would have been sent as GREETINGS postcards to a special person who they cared for, and for FRIENDSHIP. Theseare collector items because of their nice appearance, their age, and their appeal to PRETTY LADIES collectors.
The postcards are POSTED with cancel dates of 1905-09. They have UNDIVIDED backs. Some of these would have been "Printed in Germany".
Postcards with UNDIVIDED BACKS were used from the 1901-1907 era.An undivided back is a good indicator of the age of the postcard and it has historical significance.During this time period, ONLY THE ADDRESS could be put on the back, and any written message had to be done on the front of the postcard.These types of postcards are collector items now because of their age, and because of the limited number of such postcards in existence today.Also, collectors like to own postcards that were published during the beginning years of the postcard hobby.
These are BETTER POSTCARD and good for a collector.The postcards will keep their value. They are sleeved and in good condition. However, please expect some creases, cuts, stains and edge wear due to their age (over 100 years old!).The photos show the postcards and the backs.
