This is a MINT BROWN TORTOISE PELIKAN Gunther Wagner SET from the first 400 series.
The nib is crafted from 14k 585 gold and is a M- Medium. It is smooth, flexy and features a good line variation, as can be seen on the writing sample.
The pens are in mint, almost NOS condition, as you can see on the pictures. There are no cracks visible anywhere on them. The nib collar is also not cracked. The ink window is clear and there is no ink residue on it.
They come in their original lovely brown pouch and with the original instruction manual/ guarantee. Although it has some marks, the leather pouch is in great condition and is yellow/orange inside. The zipper works well.
The pencil uses 1.18mm leads(included in it) and uses a push button mechanism.
The nib writes well and the pen has received a full service, which included full disassembly, thorough cleaning and lubrication of moving parts with silicone.
I have provided a writing sample using Pelikan 4001 blue tint, in order to further describe the writing characteristics of the nib. Please keep in mind that I am a left handed writer.
