Offering my Unsmoked, Incredibly rare, museum-grade American pipemaking history - An New Old Stock (NOS) Kaywoodie Heirloom Series figural pipe depicting "The Prophet" (Bearded Monk / Hooded Friar), hand-carved by master craftsman Charlie Ware. Crafted from 1955 to 1963, this Mid-Century treasure is finally up for your collection -

Here we see a Bearded Monk - the prophet, with its thick shank that tapers to a screw in, three hole and intact stinger. KAYWOODIE Collectors will appreciate the premium black cloverleaf (club) inside a white circle, indicating this was designated as a high-grade, specialty release rather than a standard factory-line pipe. The Prophets face appears both knowing and yet contemplative. Sharp eyes. Intricate beard. Face framed, by his cap & tassel. The smooth briar finish of the stummel showcases handsome grain throughout. This pipe in keeping with the factory standards for Charlie Ware’s completely hand-sculpted figural stummels, this piece is naturally unstamped, as the deep artistic carvings left no flat surfaces on the shank.

The Prophets face appears both knowing and yet contemplative. Sharp eyes. Intricate beard. The monks face framed by his cap & tassel. The smooth briar finish of the stummel showcases handsome grain throughout. There are no stamps on the stummel, there’s really little room…. just the fine, crisp carvings of this man.
