This is a beautiful example of early American beer and bottling history, featuring strong embossing, attractive amber glass, and excellent hand-blown character. The bottle displays nice bubbles, mottling, waviness, and other manufacturing imperfections that collectors look for in 19th century glass.

The company is identified in collector references as the National Lager Beer Bottling Company, a Cincinnati beer bottler rather than an actual brewery. References document at least two amber export-style blob-top bottle variations from the company, including pint and quart examples marked "N.L.B.B.CO." on the base.
