Native American Early 1900’s Pouch. Uneven Beading HandMade, Modified. Plains? For Sale

This 5 1/2” by 6” suede/leather pouch is a late 1800’s to early 1900’s , hand beaded as evidenced by uneven beading. In addition, the fringe which has a lovely tan patina , is 3” long and the collar, which was very coarsly stitched into one of the beaded panels, is an additional 2”. (See 3rd photo). This bag Has remnants of the original suede handles, and is in the patterns of traditional Plains or Sioux tribes. At some point in its history, a previous owner modified the pouch with a lining to protect the beading, and a hand-sewn corduroy collar and straps so it could functionally serve as a shoulder bag or small purse. The original beaded panels are in extremely stable, well preserved condition , with tight beading and seams. The fringe has a lovely tan patina and is in amazingly decent condition considering its age. Please, look at the pictures very carefully before buying. They are 99% of my description, and everything I’ve written is my opinion after researching carefully. But still, opinion only.
