Native American Zuni Tobacco Canteen with Knife Wing Stone on Stone Inlay Large For Sale

This is a rarely seen large Zuni Knife Wing tobacco canteen in stamped silver. The stone on stone Knife Wing is turquoise, jet, spiney oyster, and mother of pearl. The top may be an old coin but is not legible, and the chain and belt hanger are wrought silver. The height is about 4 1/2” and the total weight is 218 grams. Tobacco canteens are difficult to make, and are typically Navajo. In my 50 years of collecting, I’ve not seen another with Zuni inlay. The old label reads “1930s Zuni Tobacco Canteen, Arizona Find, Rare”.
