This is a New in Box Bulldog Brand single-blade lockback in genuine stag. Closed length is barely over 3". Year stamp 2000. Standing-dog tang, hammer-forged Solingen. Original blue Chattanooga box. Opened only for these photos.
Blade: BULLDOG BRAND etch, standing dog / 2000 HAND MADE. Reverse: BULLDOG BRAND HAMMER FORGED SOLINGEN-GERMANY. Dog-head shield. Nickel-silver bolsters, brass liners. Lockback — not a slipjoint, not a two-blade jack or trapper.
This is 2000 production, not the Anno Domini 2000 limited 1-of-60 series, and not the larger 4-1/2" stag lockbacks.

Condition Notes
New in box and unused as a cutter. Stag, shield, bolsters, and etch look clean. The blade spine has a few small dark storage spots — they show in the close-ups. That is the only issue we see. Zoom those pictures before you buy. Box has normal shelf wear on the corners.
Description & History
Charlie Dorton started Bulldog in 1978. The knives were hammer-forged at Friedrich Olbertz in Solingen. Parker later ran the brand from Chattanooga. The standing-dog mark with a year is Fifth Generation — this one is dated 2000.
First Generation fighting-dogs pieces bring more. A boxed 2000 stag lockback this size is still a real Olbertz / Parker knife: carbon blade, stag, lockback, and the original blue box. It is not current production and Olbertz is gone.
Keep the carbon oiled. These will take a patina.
