This is a New in Box Remington Cutlery Collector’s Club 2-blade trapper for the club’s Inaugural Board Meeting, July 4th, 2009. Serial 089 on the bolster and the box end. Jigged amber bone, nickel-silver bolsters, brass liners.
Clip blade is damascus with the bullet-outline Remington Hand Made Cutlery tang stamp. Spey is satin stainless etched Remington Cutlery Collector’s Club / July 4th, 2009 / Inaugural Board Meeting. Original patterned Remington Pocket Knives box, factory wrap, and care pamphlet included. Opened only for these photos.
This is a 2009 licensed club knife. It is not a 1920–1940 Bridgeport Remington.

Unused. Still in the factory wrap inside the original Remington Pocket Knives carton stamped 089. Papers included. Judge from the photos. Sold as a complete 2009 club kit, not a vintage Bridgeport knife.
Description & History
Remington launched the Remington Cutlery Collector’s Club in 2009. The club website and membership went live that summer. Regular membership after July 4, 2009 was $20 the first year. The first gathering / board meeting and swap was tied to Smoky Mountain Knife Works. This trapper is that meeting knife — dated on the spey, serial numbered on the bolster.
It is not the catalog “Knife of the Year” R103 from the same program, and it is not a 1920s UMC original. 2009 Remington traditionals were licensed USA contract work (Bear & Son was making the Bullet line that year; SMKW handled club sales and valuation help). The tang is the revival Hand Made / Remington Cutlery bullet stamp, not a 1921–1940 circle die.
What you are buying is the dated club story: inaugural meeting etch, mixed damascus / stainless pair, serial 089, and the full box kit. Thin collector market outside Remington-club and SMKW people who were there.
